Organizational Development (OD) is the approach to solving organizational issues by taking a systemic approach. It involves diagnosis of the issue, design and development of an appropriate intervention, implementation and feedback.

OD is based in behavioral sciences and therefore looks at not only the "What" of people related initiatives but also at the "how"

OD can be used to diagnose issues that are underlying and may not surface in the normal course of events. These can be intra-team issues, inter-team issues, inter-level issues or organizational issues.
